When on the star map, you can activate special color overlays to gain more information about planets.

Accessing
Click on the Overlay button or press Ctrl-M after clicking on the Starmap. This can be accessed on any screen that uses the Starmap.

Modes
The overlay system has several color modes:
- Standard - Your everyday starmap that allows you to assign specific colors to players. When zoomed out, systems show the last processed player.
- Diplomacy - All players gain the color of their relationship to you. When zoomed out, systems show the last processed player.
- Environment - Shows the environmental level of a planet. When zoomed out, systems show best planet.
- Minerals - Shows the mineral level of a planet. When zoomed out, systems show best planet.
- Slots - Shows the number of slots per planet. When zoomed out, shows the average slots per planet.
- Fleet Acceleration - Shows the stargate potential of each planet. When zoomed out, shows the stargate potential of the system.
- Refuel and Upgrade - Shows the docking potential of each planet. When zoomed out, shows the docking potential of the system.
- Morale - Shows the morale of a planet. When zoomed out, shows the planet with the worst morale (to find problems).
- Pirate Fame - Shows the chance of the pirate to gain fame of each planet/system.
Anytime an overlay other than "Standard" is active, fleet and system name colors will fade toward gray.
